PHL Championship of Ukraine
First stage (regular championship)
3 : 2
(1:1, 1:0, 1:1)
Game ended

After the defeat from the "Lions" coach of the second team of the hockey club "Donbass" Igor Andryushchenko answered for the questions from the press service of the club and made a little analysis of the last match.

- The first period we failed, but have scored first. Although, leading into account, but for the mood and movement of an opponent we simply were not ready. Fans of "Lions" is almost filled the rink, and under such support local hockey players "ran". They worked well, our guys took a back seat somewhere. In the second period, we have leveled the game, in the third - possessed an advantage, but missed a goal at the very ending.

- Perhaps, after a confident home win over the "Lions" it was some underestimation of the opponent?

- I do not know about what underestimation can we talk. Everyone knows that we have good chances to take first place in the "regular season". Specially to set up people in this situation makes no sense. Liability of losses of each point, the responsibility for each misfire is high, therefor more "pumping" is not required. But I think, underestimation in some extent, was present.

- Players of "Donbass-2" made it to reverse the course of the game and our players should have received a psychological advantage. What happened in the last seconds of the match?

- There was a throw of a puck. Forward of opponent crossed the blue line, made a shot, the puck went into the corner... For one second defenders lost concentration, may be, the goalkeeper has decided it would be an OT, but the rival scored to the gate from such a sharp angle, what to make within full concentration on the opposite side just is not realistic. And so it happened. Made so much effort to level the game and level the score and conceded a silly goal.

- Is it reasonable to "sprinkle ashes on the heads" or necessary to make findings and go to new game with a new attitude?

- Most likely we will do so. For any loss of points we make a detailed analysis and draw conclusions. The main thing is that it should be correctly perceived by the players.
