Press-conference

"Donbass" - "Rubin". Post-match press conference of the coaches.

Mishat Fakhrutdinov (head coach, HC "Ruby"):

- Unfortunately, the two quick goals in the first period, especially the first one, when we played in many, has influenced on the course of the fight. We are gradually leveled the game, and our moments should have been implemented. That is what it is. Now we will concentrate all our efforts on the Highest Hockey League championship.

- How did you feel when your team in the last period was close to score?

- Some of the players have been inflated in those moments when they had to endure. There were two unnecessary deletion, and possibly, those four minutes we did not have enough. In such games you need to endure, even playing. 0:2 - this is not a defeat. Must now play to the end.

Alexander Kulikov (head coach, HC "Donbass"):

- As expected, in the decisive match met the two strongest teams of the tournament. The game was very tense. You see, everything was decided at the last minute. The opponent team was very decent. Not in vain it is stand in VHL on the first place. They proved it once again. The fact that our players have played with a strong will, displayed character - this is really good, and our goalkeeper played great. It was a match of two worthy opponents, in which a little more luck we had. I am very pleased that for the first time the team from Ukraine came to the final of this prestigious Euro Cup.

- Can you say that this was the best game of the team in this season?

- Talking about the committment and mood - yes. I am as the coach was satisfied with the result, but there are moments with which we need to deal. I do not think this is the best game of the team.

- Does the participation in VHL contributed with your team for today's success?

- This year we only joined the league. For us, as for Donetsk, and for Ukraine - it's a big step forward, because hockey in Russia is much higher level. Our team is growing and growing at the expense of the collective. In order to become a truly high-level team, we should play together, know each other better. Our players have come to the team from different countries, from different leagues, and they needed time to play.
