"Donbass" (Donetsk), 1998 b.y.
No less interesting than the Senior national championship of Ukraine, youth teams of the 1998 b.y. are playing ice hockey, in which the Donetsk team "Donbass-98" are involved.
The "Donbass-98" ("Bears") was founded on the base of the KPNZ Sports School # 7 of hockey and figure skating 22 September 2008, at the time of the ISK "Leader" opening.
The purpose of youth sports school # 7: to attract young people to winter sports throughout the year, as well as sports activities and high class training for different teams. Sports School # 7 has already engaged 463 students in 25 groups.
In 2009, the "Bears" debuted in the Ukrainian Premier League 2009/2010 among the teams of the 1998 b.y., finishing fifth out of seven.
In the 2010/11 season the team repeated its previous result, finishing in fifth place.
With the beginning of the season 2011/12, the Donetsk children's teams are called the "Donbass".
In the Sports School # 7 hockey sections are divided into the following age categories:

2003 y.o.b.
2004 y.o.b.
2005 y.o.b.
2006 y.o.b.
Sports School # 7 is recruiting children born in 2003-2006.
