Donbass signed ex-NHL player

Goaltender Yevhen Napnenko, defensemen Dmytro Tolkunov, Alexei Shagov, Mykola Ladygin, Vitaly Kulikov and forwards
Vadim Averkin, Dmytro Nimenko, Oleksandr Bobkin, Yevhen Pastukh, Sergiy Babinets, Anbton Roslyakov has signed new contracts recently.

Bobkin, Pastukh, Babynets, Ladygin, Shagov, Roslyakov and Tolkunov played for Donbass last season.

But the most exciting gain is singing 32-year Ukrainian center Sergei Varlamov. With 64 games in NHL for Sent Louis Blues and Calgary Flames he is considered to be one of the most talanted and experienced player in Ukraine. His NHL career stats are 15 points (8+7).

Last decade he has been mostly playing in KHL clubs Severstal, SKA, Dinamo Minsk. He played 93 games with 31 (15+16) points since KHL league has been founded in 2008.

As far as his Ukrainian national team career is concerned, Varlamov participated in the only Ukraine's hockey team Olympics in Salt-Lake City. In general he played 40 games for yellow-blue scoring 8 goals with     17 assists.

In addition, Dmytro Nimenko, Oleksandr Bobkin, Yevhen Pastukh, Dmytro Tolkunov and Mykola Ladygin has been the Ukrainian national team players in various years.
