Today in the Proletarian region of Donetsk in the framework of the social program "Hockey of Ukraine" in a solemn ceremony, Ice Palace "Almaz" was opened. Capacity of the new arena - 400 spectators. In addition to the Arena "Druzhba" and the ice complex "Leader" in the district of "Textilschik" - a new sports facility in our city is entirely consistent with the requirements of National and International Ice Hockey Federations.
The the official part of today's event was attended by Donetsk Mayor Aleksandr Lukyanchenko, Deputy Minister of Ukraine for Family, Youth and Sports, Vice-President of Ice Hockey Federation of Ukraine Vadym Sysyuk and Proletarian District Council Chairman Victor Yaroshenko.
The guests of the celebration congratulated the inhabitants of the one of the major areas of the city, after the manner, with a significant event. The Mayor of Donetsk quoted in his speech the telegram from the head of the NOC of Ukraine Sergey Bubka. Best wishes to the people of the coal capital, were expressed by Minister of Family, Youth and Sports Ravil Safiullin. After the official speeches, honored guests solemnly cut the red ribbon, have presented a personal certificate for 50,000 UAH and handed over a symbolic key to young athletes from the new beautiful complex. Well, the ice complex "Almaz" in proletarian district of Donetsk officially opened. Demonstration performances of young skaters and two junior teams of ice hockey, have drawn a line of solemn celebration.
