Boris Kolesnikov visited the second game of the final series of the national championship, when Donbass won its first gold beating Sokil 3-2 in a dramatic encounter. Afterwards vice premier minister and the Head of the Infrastructure Ministry talked to media.
"It was a good game, no one knew what it would be until the end. If there are 3-4 more teams of such level in the Ukrainian league, - Kolesnikov said".
Kolesnikov considered the season-2010/11 to be a good shift for ice-hockey promotion. "Still there is a little interest, but we'll try to make it better. In April Kyiv Sport Palace opens after the renovation. There were 6 ice-rinks opened this year, soon we'll have another rink in Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk. So we are going to create basement for children and junior hockey".
In addition Kolesnikov said that a brand new arena with 12,000 capicity may be erected in Donetsk. "It depends on the city. There is a background for such intention, but yet it is too early to discuss it".
