On Saturday, June 23, in Budapest, held the presentation of the next draw of the Continental Cup. As a result of a meeting of representatives of clubs, intending to take part in the competition, and the Commission of the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF), the application of HC "Donbass", for hosting the final round of the tournament, was out of competition. Donetsk will host the Continental Cup Finals 2012-2013!
According to regulations of the competition, the hockey club "Donbass", as host, and "Rouen Dragons," as the winner of the 2011-2012 Continental Cup, will get tickets to the Finals ahead of schedule. Matches of the Final round will be held on 11, 12 and 13 January 2013.
Recall that in the last season Semifinal stage of the tournament was held in Donetsk, won at which, HC "Donbass" stood one step away from winning an honorary trophy.
